In the immortal words of Claude McKay, “nations, like plants and human beings, grow. And if the development is thwarted, they are dwarfed and overshadowed”. Thus, with this understanding, we at Kenya Projects Organization (KENPRO) seek for an opportunity with your organization to offer training in the field of Project Planning and Management. Training Objectives

By the end of the training, the participants should be able to:

  1. Outline various phases of the project cycle
  2. Describe Project Planning Process
  3. Develop Plans for the respective Projects identified
  4. Outline the implementation Processes, activities and Outputs of the existing Social Projects,
  5. Describe various resource mobilization strategies
  6. Write a typical funding proposal
  7. Develop Project Monitoring Tools
  8. Identify types of Project Evaluation
  9. Design data collection instruments for project evaluation
  10. Conduct Analysis of Data gathered during the Monitoring and Evaluation
  11. Write an Evaluation Report

Training Methodology

KENPRO team uses the participatory approach in the training. This includes practical method, group discussion activity oriented method and presentation approach. The practical method is meant to impart hand on skills to the participants. The group discussion method is meant to help the participants to articulate and examine present learning in the light of their own past experiences in planning and management arena.

Target Population

The training targets all Project Managers, Project Team Members, Project Officers, Resource Mobilizers, M&E Officers, Development Practitioners, Organization Officials/ Staff members working in various local, national and international projects oriented organizations in Kenya and in the region.

Training Materials

The main training materials required for the training include projector, flip charts, marker pens, ballpoint pens among other writing materials. The client is expected to prepare these materials

Other instructional materials will include handouts, electronic teaching and learning resources on project cycle and resource mobilization module. These resources consist of useful learning teaching and learning content which will be used to guide the entire training process. The resources will be availed to the learners in both soft and hard copies by the trainers.
